Job summary

KBR is seeking a Mid Astro Software Engineer to develop secure, end-to-end lifecycles in cloud environments. You will implement containerization with Kubernetes or Docker, build CI/CD pipelines with GitOps, and collaborate across teams to enhance security, scalability, and operations.

Responsibilities include applying DevSecOps practices, working with Java/Spring Boot, and maintaining logs and analytics for performance. A focus on automation and secure delivery is central to the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with astrodynamics propagation methods and perturbation models.
• Strong foundation in celestial/terrestrial frame transformations and time scales.
• 3-5 years of experience developing web-based applications.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker and cloud environments (AWS).
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot for backend services.
• Familiarity with log management and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles in cloud environments.
• Design and implement containerization using Kubernetes or Docker.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure secure, scalable software delivery.
• Maintain log management and monitoring for system optimization.
• Work with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Maven, and Gradle in deployment pipelines.
