Job summary

Michigan State University’s School of Criminal Justice invites applications for up to five part-time fixed-term instructors to teach one to two online courses per year. Candidates with expertise in criminal procedure, criminology, policing, courts, corrections, cybersecurity, or private security are encouraged to apply.

Salary and terms are negotiable based on experience. The position recurs each Spring Semester.

Position Summary

Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice has openings for up to five (5) part time fixed term instructors to teach one to two courses per year. Searching for candidates with expertise or experience teaching in criminal procedure, criminology, policing, courts, corrections, cybersecurity, and private security. Duties include teaching online to students during the year. Salary and terms are negotiable based on experience.

Required Degree

Masters -Criminal Justice or Social Science

Minimum Requirements

The positions require a masters degree for the rank of Instructor or bachelor's degree for the rank of Assistant Instructor from an accredited university. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and/or significant work experience in areas related to the teaching assignment (e.g., policing, courts, corrections, private security, or cyber-security).
