Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking an Assurance Supervisor to manage and oversee assurance engagements, guiding a team of professionals and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes adherence to budgets and timelines, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance. CPA eligibility or active license is required, alongside a strong foundation in accounting and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Three to five years of experience in an assurance or accounting related role.
• CPA license or ability to obtain CPA in a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, in-charge, and lead assurance engagements, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Supervise and mentor assurance team members, including associates and interns, providing guidance and support throughout the engagement.
• Maintain excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and multitask effectively.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, communicating project status and addressing questions and concerns.
• Conduct and review engagement procedures ensuring compliance with accounting basis and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review workpapers and engagement documentation for accuracy.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to address technical issues and ensure efficient management.
• Stay current on changes in assurance and accounting standards and apply knowledge to improve processes.
• Identify opportunities for multi-service projects and maintain strong client relationships.
