Job summary

CohnReznick in Minnesota is seeking an Assurance Senior Associate to join our Not-for-Profit Group. You will lead engagements, manage client relationships, and ensure timely, accurate deliverables across not-for-profit clients.

The role requires CPA eligibility or licensure, experience in public accounting, and strong MS Office and communication skills. This is a hybrid role with in-office collaboration expected several days per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a public accounting firm.
• Not-for-Profit (NFP) experience preferred.
• CPA licensure achieved or eligible to sit for the exam.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
• Pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Develop detailed engagement work plans and budgets.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Senior Associate to join the team in our Minnesota office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our Not-for-Profit Group. The Not-for-Profit Group provides services to social service and charitable agencies, professional and trade associations, foundations, educational institutions, arts and cultural organizations, religious organizations, and local governments. You will work on a team with other Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. This team has a passion for what they do and a focus on consistently delivering value to our clients.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
• Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
• Develop detailed engagement work plans
• Illustrate budgets and schedules
• Actively participate in proposals
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
• Gain the respect and confidence of the CRZ team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
• Industry experience required.
• NFP experience required
• Bachelor's Degree required
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills

In Minnesota, the salary range for Assurance Senior Associates is $75,000 - $110,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus; generous paid time off; expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
