Job summary

Join CohnReznick as an Assurance Senior Associate in the Financial Services team, collaborating on audits and related services for private equity, hedge funds, real estate and other funds. This hybrid role is based in New York, New Jersey, or Boston, with in-office collaboration roughly three days per week.

You will lead engagements, plan work, manage a team, and interact with clients while continuing to deepen knowledge of CPA services offered by the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting required.
• CPA designation is required.
• 3+ years' experience in a public accounting firm.
• Financial Services industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of audit software ProSystem Fx a plus.
• Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the engagement lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Develop detailed engagement work plans, illustrating budgets and schedules.
• Continue to build a thorough understanding of all audits, tax and consulting services provided by the firm, and actively participate in proposals.
• In managing a team of staff associates, including interns, you will provide regular performance coaching and feedback, while developing individual technical and industry skills.
• Effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Senior Associate to join our Financial Services team in our New York, New Jersey, or Boston offices.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices.

This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM

As part of the Financial Sponsors & Financial Services team, you'll work with some of the nation's leading private equity, venture capital, hedge, real estate, cannabis, private credit, and other alternative investment funds.

You'll gain valuable knowledge of the capital markets ecosystem and use it to deliver the comprehensive transaction, fund, and portfolio company audit, tax, and value creation solutions.

As a result of the unique organizational structure of most private investment funds, you'll collaborate with other CohnReznick industry and service line team members to deliver outstanding technical and client service.

The successful candidate will have:

In New York, the salary range for Assurance Senior Associates is $85,000 - $140,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus; generous paid time off; expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
