Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking an Assurance Senior Associate to join our Houston office in a hybrid role. You will lead engagement activities, plan engagements, manage budgets and schedules, and contribute to proposals while coaching staff and interns.

Ideal candidates bring CPA licensure or eligibility, 3+ years in public accounting, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX. Join a firm that values collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• CPA licensure achieved or eligibility to sit for the exam.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX.
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
• Take responsibility for pre‑engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
• Develop detailed engagement work plans.
• Illustrate budgets and schedules.
• Actively participate in proposals.
• Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, with regular performance coaching and feedback.
• Gain the respect and confidence of the CRZ team through effective client management and clear leadership.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in‑person collaboration. While the cadence of in‑office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.
