Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license in state of residence (or equivalent).
• 13+ years in public accounting / external audit or assurance.
• Proven track record building and maintaining a substantial client portfolio.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills with staff development.
• Deep mastery of US GAAP/GAAS and related standards.
• Ability to apply risk-based audit methodology and internal controls.
• Strong business development and strategic leadership capabilities.
• Builds local market relationships to drive client growth.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior executives.
• Strategic thinking with firm-wide vision and governance involvement.
• Flexible travel to meet client and firm needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagement leadership and client service coordination.
• Manage multiple engagements and project milestones.
• Identify accounting matters and coordinate with firm specialists.
• Review work product and communicate audit status to clients.
• Maintain year-round client relationships and understand client goals.
• Oversee profitability, billing, collections, and engagement economics.
• Assess risk and design audit procedures for engagements.
• Develop external relationships to support growth and brand presence.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Maintain independence and quality in line with standards.
