Job summary

CLA is seeking an Assurance Director/Manager to join our Healthcare practice in the Kansas City or St. Louis offices. This role focuses on client relationships, audit execution, and staff development while meeting budgets and deadlines.

Required CPA license, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and at least 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits; government and single audits experience preferred. Equal Opportunity Employer.

• Assist clients with audit and financial planning objectives and use a range of tools.
• Develop staff through mentoring and overseeing engagement teams.
• Lead engagements by monitoring time budgets and deadlines and communicating progress to the engagement principal.

CLA is currently seeking an Assurance Director/Manager to join our growing Healthcare practice. This position is open to our St. Louis or Kansas City offices.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Assurance Director/ Manager role:

• Manage and develop relationships with great clients.

• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to continue to positively impact their community.

• Assist clients with meeting their audit and financial planning objectives by using a range of tools.

• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.

• Lead the engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence. Communicate important development to the engagement principal along with facts, conclusions, and recommendations.

What you will need:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• You have a minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.

• Experience leading teams of high performing people and managing governmental audits and Single audits strongly preferred

• CPA license certification is required.
