Job summary

BRC, a Greensboro, NC accounting firm, seeks a Senior Assurance professional to lead non-profit audit engagements and deliver high-quality service. You will guide engagements, mentor staff, and collaborate with partners to meet client needs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires CPA certification, 5–8 years of non-profit assurance experience, and strong communication skills to interact with clients and stakeholders while staying current on industry trends.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in accounting.
• 5-8 years assurance experience with non-profits, CPA firm.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Supervisor.
• Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, as applicable.
• Proficiency with accounting software programs.
• Career development CPE to enhance management and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with multi-project management.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Able to work collaboratively to achieve goals.
• Valid driver’s license and good MVR.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• CPA certification
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in accounting
• 5-8 years assurance experience with non-profits in a CPA firm, with min. of 1-2 years’ experience as a Supervisor
• Passionate about their work and eager to learn and grow
• Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, as applicable
• Proficiency in use of computers, accounting software programs and assurance software programs
• Completion of career development CPE requirements designed to enhance management and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Creative and innovative, with a strong desire to make a positive impact
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
• Valid driver’s license and good MVR

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Fine hand manipulation in keyboarding 5-7 hours per day
• Fine hand manipulation using calculator/adding machine 2-4 hours per day
