Job summary

Growing Midwest CPA Firm, hosted by Jobot in Maumee, OH, seeks an Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements for diverse middle-market clients. You will manage teams, ensure technical excellence, and contribute to practice growth within a relationship-driven firm.

The ideal candidate brings a CPA or active licensing path, 5+ years of public accounting audit experience, and strong communication and leadership skills to develop staff and manage multiple engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance.
• CPA license required or actively pursuing licensing requirements.
• Experience supervising and developing professional staff.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Identify and communicate accounting, financial reporting, and operational risks.
• Provide recommendations to improve internal controls, processes, and financial reporting practices.
• Review financial statements and related disclosures for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop senior associates and staff accountants.
• Stay current on GAAP and regulatory developments.
