Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Intern for Summer 2027 in Pittsburgh, PA. You will join the Assurance practice, applying accounting knowledge and collaborating with experienced staff to support audits of client engagements.

The role offers hands-on training in GAAP/GAAS, exposure to BDO audit methodologies, and opportunities to develop client communication and research skills in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP/GAAS
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process
• Provides various support functions to the audit staff during engagement
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues
• Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO tools and templates
• Contributes ideas to the audit teams and responds to others' views
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit related research project and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals
• Other duties as required
