Job summary

BDO USA, PC is seeking an Intern for its Assurance practice in Dallas, TX. You will gain hands-on experience, working with experienced professionals to learn audit processes, prepare working papers, and support the audit staff across client engagements.

You will engage in structured on-the-job training, learn BDO methodologies, and begin to build relationships within the firm while pursuing CPA credentials.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO's audit methodology to assist with audit stages.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties on audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas to the audit teams and responds to team members' views.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings to Assurance panel.
• Other duties as required.
