Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an energetic, self-starting intern for our Assurance practice in Missouri. You will gain hands-on exposure to GAAP/GAAS, assist with audit processes, and interact with clients while learning BDO methodology.

You’ll work with experienced staff in a collaborative environment and have opportunities for coaching and development. This internship emphasizes training, teamwork, and professional growth, with preparation for CPA credentials and a strong foundation in office

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit stages.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to the audit teams and responds to team members' views.
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings.
• Other duties as required.
