BDO USA, PC is seeking a proactive Intern for our Assurance practice in Pittsburgh. You will gain hands-on exposure, work alongside experienced team members, and receive coaching to develop your audit and accounting skills.

You will learn BDO’s audit methodology, assist at various stages of audits, and contribute to client communications while building essential relationships for your career growth.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Participates in structured on-the-job training and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients, creditors, banks and related parties on audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and responds to team members’ views.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings to a panel.
• Other duties as required.
