BDO USA is seeking an intern for the Assurance practice to develop fundamentals in auditing and accounting while receiving direction from experienced team members. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, problem solving, and client exposure in a collaborative environment.

You will gain exposure to GAAP/GAAS, BDO methodologies, and structured training as you contribute to audit engagements and develop professional relationships essential for your career.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and listens to others.
• Completes an assigned research project and presents findings to Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
