Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level audit professional to join our collaborative team in the United States. You will learn and perform procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, while gaining exposure to GAAP/GAAS and internal control evaluations.

The role emphasizes teamwork and client service. You will examine records, test controls, and communicate findings, building strong client relationships and supporting CPA licensure goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher required or close to meeting.
  • Foundational accounting knowledge including GAAP and GAAS.
  • Enough units to sit for the CPA exam.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing CPA licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
  • Examine financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation for compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Assist in evaluating and testing client internal control systems.
  • Work with team members to deliver quality audit products within client timeframes.
  • Build client relationships and respond to client inquiries and concerns.
  • Develop ways to better serve audit clients’ needs.
  • Analyze financial statements and disclosures to identify material misstatements or discrepancies.
  • Take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review and examine client financial records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in training programs and stay current with accounting and auditing standards.
  • Pursue CPA licensure requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program)
  • Foundational accounting knowledge, including GAAP and GAAS
  • Enough units, or close to enough, to sit for the CPA exam
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing or obtaining CPA educational licensure requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and deliver quality results
