Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Field Operations Specialist to support daily field activities and promote a collaborative work environment in Virginia. You will assist in coordinating field teams and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards with strong communication to project leadership.

The role requires an Associate's degree in construction management or engineering and around five years of related field experience, plus OSHA 30/First Aid CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred. OSHA 30-Hour within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the management and development of a team of field operations individuals.
• Supervises daily site activities and ensures quality control.
• Manages coordination of delivery and allocation of materials and equipment.
• Monitors accurate daily logs and progress reports to document project activities and issues.
• Communicates routine updates to project leadership.
• Participates in or leads safety meetings and site inspections.
• Supports field teams, including self-perform, in addressing routine operational issues and escalates more complex matters as needed.

Facilitates communication among field teams and trade partners, including self-perform team members, promoting a collaborative and solution-oriented work environment. Contributes to accurate project documentation and reporting, supporting informed decision-making by project leadership.
