Qualifications

• PhD in an experimental sub-field of physics or ABD status by Sep 30, 2027.
• Evidence of effectiveness in teaching undergraduate education.
• Commitment to student advising, recruiting, mentoring from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with modern research-grade instrumentation.
• Ability to develop an independent undergraduate experimental physics program.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 6-course equivalent each academic year, with first-year reduced load.
• Collaborate to redesign the upper-level physics laboratory sequence with research-grade instrumentation.
• Develop an independent undergraduate experimental research program with potential external funding.
• Actively participate in undergraduate student advising and mentoring.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive departmental community.
• Engage in teaching development and scholarship activities with faculty.
