Job summary

Florida State University’s Anne Spencer Daves College of Education invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-earning assistant professor in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. The candidate will contribute to online EdD programs, advise students, chair dissertations, and engage in funded research collaborations.

The successful candidate will pursue a strong scholarly agenda, teach graduate courses related to policy and methods, and participate in university service and mentoring

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in educational leadership, educational policy, or related education/social science disciplines.
• Evidence of high-quality scholarship (peer-reviewed journals, working papers, conference presentations).
• Commitment to and experience working with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to teach educational leadership and policy courses and/or research methods courses.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in a scholarship agenda with connections to K-12 policy and transitions to higher education.
• Teach graduate courses in online EdD program related to policy and/or research methods.
• Advise graduate students in online EdD program and other programs.
• Serve on student graduate committees, including chairing EdD dissertations.
• Provide service to university, department, college, and profession.
• Develop and submit grant proposals to funding agencies.
