UF Health—Jacksonville seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in supervising nursing staff and delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist in hiring, staff evaluations, orientation, and performance improvement initiatives while helping devise and manage departmental budgets.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida

Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s). Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.
