Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet and register patients, collect vital signs, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures. You will handle immunizations, prescriptions, and chart updates, while performing onsite lab tests and maintaining a welcoming exam room.

The role requires a MA education, active certification, CPR, and flexibility for travel between local clinics. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or higher education courses.
• Active MA certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA required, CPR certification or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs, and health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections when needed.
• Process prescriptions, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, and chart updates.
• Perform onsite lab testing such as EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and uphold CARE values.
• Occasional travel to assist other local clinics.

Hours: Mix of 8:15am-5:00pm and 12:15pm-9:00pm and occasional Saturday hours of 8:00am-1:00pm. Some traveling may be required between our offices as well.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required, May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
