Job Overview:

The Assistant Director of Patient Care will oversee and delegate daily operations of the Labor and Delivery Unit, fostering a positive work environment. They will address the complex, individual needs of patients and work to create an efficient workflow within the unit.

Required:

• Active RN New Jersey License
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP from the American Heart Association
• BSN
• 3-5 years of Labor and Delivery experience

Preferred:

• National certification in an applicable clinical specialty
• MSN
• Epic experience

Essential Duties:

• Support and assist the Director and staff in coordinating patient care to meet patient needs and ensure quality outcomes cost-effectively. Collaborate on hiring, evaluations, and administrative functions. Facilitate goal-setting with staff. Cover shift responsibilities, including weekends.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model, providing guidance, professional development, and facilitating interdepartmental coordination. Identify opportunities for growth and quality improvement, develop and implement policies, and participate in quality assurance.

Scheduling:

• Nights, 36 hours a week
