Job Overview:

The Assistant Director of Patient Care will oversee and delegate daily operations of the Labor and Delivery Unit, fostering a positive work environment. Responsible for addressing complex patient needs and creating efficient workflows.

Required:

• Active RN New Jersey License
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP from the American Heart Association
• BSN
• 3-5 years of Labor and Delivery experience

Preferred:

• National certification in an applicable clinical specialty
• MSN
• Epic experience

Essential Duties:

• Support and assist the Director and staff in patient care coordination, ensuring quality outcomes and cost-effectiveness. Participate in hiring, evaluations, and administrative functions. Facilitate goal-setting with staff. Cover shift responsibilities, including weekends.
• Act as a role model and clinical resource, providing guidance, professional development, interdepartmental coordination, and policy development. Participate in quality assurance activities.

Scheduling:

• Nights, 36 hours a week
