Job summary

Moody's Investors Service seeks a seasoned product manager to lead a scalable entity matching platform, driving end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through launch and post-release iterations.

You will own data ingestion pipelines, indexing, and storage, collaborate with engineering and data teams, and steer agile ceremonies to deliver high‑quality search capabilities and AI-powered solutions. This role requires strong cross‑functional leadership and clear product documentation.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of product management experience with ownership of products or features from discovery to launch.
• Experience owning API-based or data platform products, including data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Strong understanding of entity resolution, entity matching, or reference data management.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end product management of a scalable entity matching platform, ensuring high-quality data ingestion and search capabilities.
• Independently manage the product lifecycle from discovery through release and post-launch iterations.
• Prioritize features based on business value, effort, and stakeholder input.
• Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Define and track KPIs including match accuracy, ingestion latency, API throughput, and user adoption.
• Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Identify user needs via research, stakeholder engagement, and usability testing.
• Own the roadmap for data ingestion, pipelines, indexing, and storage for data quality and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, data and cross-functional teams to optimize search relevance and product delivery.

Skills and Competencies

• 5–8 years of product management experience with demonstrated ownership of products or feature areas from discovery through launch
• Strong experience owning API-based or data platform products, including data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Solid understanding of entity resolution, entity matching, or reference data management, with familiarity in OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, embeddings, and data normalization
• Proven ability to manage complex cross‑functional programs with internal stakeholders and enterprise clients
• Ability to write clear and concise product documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience with agile product tools such as Jira and Confluence, and strong data‑driven decision‑making skills
• Technical fluency to engage in architecture discussions and evaluate trade‑offs across data ingestion and infrastructure approaches
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI‑powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field preferred

For US‑based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$119,100.00-$172,650.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full‑time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
