Position Information

















The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
Certifications/Licenses
  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of women's softball.

  • Good organization skills.

  • Ability to communicate with student-athletes and the media.

  • Computer literacy.

  • Ability to learn Teamworks compliance program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of collegiate softball or baseball coaching experience and playing experience.

  • Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA regulations.

Equipment Utilized

  • Ability to use a computer, email, editing equipment and recruiting database software.

  • Must be willing to learn the ARMS and Teamworks compliance software.
