TTUHSC Permian Basin seeks a part-time Family Medicine physician to provide patient care, precept residents and medical students, and advance education and evidence-based practice. You will contribute to a people-centered learning environment that supports growth and success for learners and patients alike.

The department emphasizes mentorship within a regional network and a commitment to improving community health through collaboration and compassionate care.

Formación

• MD/DO/MBBS degree required.
• Completion of a Family Medicine Residency.
• Completion of the USMLE Step 3.

• Maintain records, reports, claims and correspondence necessary in connection with services performed.
• Precept family medicine residents and medical students, providing bedside training.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

In the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the Permian Basin, our aim is to develop people through positive relationships to change our world by transforming healthcare and changing communities. At TTUHSC Permian Basin Family Medicine, we promote a people-centered learning environment for students, residents, and fellows to foster growth and success. Major/Essential Functions

• Provide patient care by performing such medical examinations as are necessary and appropriate for all patients;
• Maintain appropriate records, reports, claims and correspondence necessary in connection with all professional services performed by the physician;
• Precept family medicine residents and medical students, providing bedside training;
• Provide mentorship, training and resources to students and residents to be successful in their future careers, placing a strong focus on education and evidence-based practices.

Required Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS Degree;
• Completion of a Family Medicine Residency;
• Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
