Shaw Yoder Antwih Schmelzer & Lange seeks an Association Communications and Marketing Manager to lead communications and marketing for the firm's association management clients from Sacramento, CA. The role partners with the Public Affairs and Communications Manager, shaping member communications, branding, digital presence, and event marketing.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in communications, marketing, or association management, strong writing/editing skills, and experience coordinating

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public affairs, or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate policy and technical topics into clear content
• Previous association management experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing association management software and social media channels

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute weekly member newsletters
• Distribute legislative and funding updates with advocacy team
• Manage external contractors for monthly e-magazines
• Prepare and distribute event updates to members
• Draft/edit communications copy and develop landing pages
• Develop conference and event marketing plans to drive attendance and sponsorship
• Coordinate run of show, scripts, signage, and A/V logistics for conferences
• Maintain association website copy and pages, and oversee website development
• Develop and manage social media content to amplify member communications and drive event participation
• Present to association boards on communications topics and collaborate with leadership on press strategy
