Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, or related field
• 2+ years of professional writing or marketing experience (agency experience preferred)
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with command of grammar and structure
• A writing portfolio that shows range across formats, styles, and voices
• Comfort within the Google Workspace suite
• Ability to take direction and deliver clean drafts without heavy oversight
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once

Responsibilities

• Content development: Draft website copy, blog posts, emails, video scripts, social content, proposals, and more for Rare Bird and clients.
• Client collaboration: Participate in calls and discovery meetings, translate hearing into working drafts reflecting brand voice.
• Revision: Implement feedback to tighten prose and improve structure or approach.
• Quality control: Catch errors, fix typos, verify facts before publication.
• Time management: Handle multiple clients and deadlines concurrently.
• Professional development: Build fluency in SEO/AEO, AI-assisted research, CMS, and analytics.
