Job summary

Fordham University Law School is seeking an Associate Writer to serve as the primary writer for the Office of Marketing and Communications. You will research stories, interview law faculty and office leaders, and write the majority of news stories on the Law School’s website, producing copy for newsletters.

Work closely with DEI, ADR, and other areas to plan the newsletter, schedule deadlines, and manage story calendars.

Qualifications

Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, the Associate Writer serves as the primary writer for the Office of Marketing and Communications at the Law School.

Essential Functions

Seeks out stories and connects with law faculty and office leaders to research stories.

Writes the majority of news stories on the Law School’s website and produces additional varied copy – including write-ups for various office newsletters.

Works closely with the leaders of DEI , ADR , and other areas to plan the newsletter, write up a copy as needed, and suggest other articles.

May provide peer-level coordination or subject‑matter guidance to colleagues performing similar work and/or student, part‑time workers, including helping organize tasks, clarify priorities, or review work for quality or consistency.

Tracks social media posts.
