Sentry Hill Financial Advisors, a Boston-based advisory firm within Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group, seeks a Wealth Management Advisor to nurture client relationships and deliver personalized planning. You will work with senior advisors to advance retirement, investment, tax and estate strategies, while growing the practice through outreach and referrals.
Responsibilities include client reviews, comprehensive financial plans, and participation in meetings with a fiduciary focus.
Foster and manage client relationships within a wealth management practice to ensure the proper level of service to continue the work and planning that was set forward by senior advisors/firm.
Conduct reviews with clients to ensure all aspects of the financial plan are still relevant to the client's goals. Identify planning, investment and insurance opportunities as the client's needs evolve (or as the economy/market changes).
Learn the firm’s planning and investment philosophy. This can initially be achieved by a playing “second chair” role in client meeting with the senior advisor.
Gain connection with other potential clients by way of referrals within the book of business. The WMA should also spend a portion of their time seeking new clients for the practice by their own means.
Conduct fact finders, plan presentations, and annual review meetings.
Prepare and present comprehensive financial plans (retirement, investments, insurance, tax, estate planning).
Conduct financial modeling, including retirement projections, and cash flow analysis.
Participate in and lead portions of client meetings.
Partner with lead advisors to deliver fiduciary-level financial advice.
Create an unmatched client experience.
Think creatively and have thought partnership on building the practice.
Ensure all client information is kept confidential while also tracking business in CRM systems, with case notes.
Collaborate with other team members when it comes to investment operations, insurance operations, plan construction, client experience, and file logistics.
Maintain strict compliance and confidentiality standards.
Conduct initiative-taking outreach to prospective clients via phone and email to generate new meetings.
Maintain and manage a clean, up-to-date call and contact list.
Ensure timely, professional, and clear communication at every touchpoint.
Demonstrate familiarity with financial planning concepts and target markets.
Build and maintain feeder lists targeting specific companies and executives.
Research and input new prospect data accurately into the firm’s CRM system.
Bachelor's Degree.
5 years’ experience in the financial planning industry.
Series 7 and 63 (series 6 and 63 may be accepted with understanding of 7 and 65 being passed).
Life/Health Insurance licensed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software.
Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and critical thinking skills required.
Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients.
Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work both independently and in a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
