Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking an Associate Wealth Advisor in San Diego, CA to grow alongside senior advisors. The role starts with learning operations, securities trading, and client onboarding, then expands into financial planning and investment modeling for existing clients.

You will conduct quarterly client reviews and progress toward independent client engagements, with mentorship from a partner holding CFP, CFA, and CPA credentials. Excellent Excel and MoneyGuide Pro skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services with a focus on client-facing roles and financial planning.
  • CFP certification or nearing completion within 6–12 months.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in financial planning, accounting, or economics is required.
  • Experience with MoneyGuide Pro for planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the operational side of the business in the first 90 days, including securities trading and daily operations.
  • Support financial planning and investment modeling for current clients.
  • Assist in expanding planning and modeling capabilities for existing clients.
  • Receive training in operations, securities trading, and investment management.
  • Progress into supporting client meetings and financial plan reviews.
  • Answer client questions and assist with ongoing client service needs.
  • Over time, work directly with clients independently and as part of the advisory team.
  • Conduct approximately 20–25 quarterly client meetings (primarily in person).
  • Articulate the company's investment strategy and value proposition to clients.
  • Develop networking and business development skills to attract new clients.
  • Transition into a full client-facing Financial Advisor role over time.
  • Mentorship and development under a partner with CFP, CFA, and CPA credentials.

Associate Wealth Advisor

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE

Associate Wealth Advisor Responsibilities
  • First 90 days: Learn the operational side of the business, including securities trading, wire transfers, opening new accounts, and daily operations.
  • Support financial planning and investment modeling efforts for current clients.
  • Assist in expanding planning and financial modeling capabilities for existing clients.

  • Answer client questions and assist with ongoing client service needs.
