Job summary

Weber in Huntley, IL is hiring for a full-time warehouse associate on 2nd shift to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, unload/import-export containers, stage products, and ensure accurate counts and labeling.

You will read receiving docs, use handheld scanners, report discrepancies, and help with safe storage and shipping. A valid Powered Industrial Truck license is required, along with a high school diploma or GED; great benefits through the union.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down powered industrial truck (forks and clamp) and standup reach truck.
• Unload import/export containers and domestic trailers to receiving dock.
• Read and verify documentation for receiving, storing, and staging products.
• Verify counts and locations; report discrepancies and damaged product.
• Label, seal, shrink wrap, and load shipments; use handheld scanners.
• Maintain safety practices and proper storage locations; assist with inventory control.

Come be part of our BBQ! **Role Overview****Shift- 2nd shift****Essential Duties and Responsibilities include**the following, other duties may be assigned.-Operate sit down powered industrial truck (both forks and clamp) -Operate standup reach truck. -Operate vertical lift, along with proper use of fall protection equipment. -Responsible for unloading import/export containers and domestic trailers to receiving dock. -Responsible for checking unloaded product for accurate models, and counts, and report any damage. -Responsible for removing product from the receiving dock and putting away to proper storage locations. -Read and understand various documentation for receiving product and putting into proper storage location. -Read and understand various documentation for removing product from storage locations and staging in proper areas for outbound shipments. -Properly stage product for safety and efficiency -Operate handheld scanners. -Required at times to verify and validate product counts, product to location accuracy, and/or overages & shortages throughout the warehouse. -Verify staged product is accurately picked and staged. -Is responsible for reporting any discrepancies in inventory (from storage locations or staged product) -Is responsible to report any damaged product that is seen. -Is responsible to label product properly with shipping labels when required. -Load import/export containers and domestic trailers and verify that the trailers are in proper condition for them to be loaded (free of nails, debris, etc.) -Verify the correct shipment is being loaded and properly record the container or trailer ID. -Seal various import/export containers and domestic trailers -Shrink wrap product. -Hand stacking freight -Other duties as assigned.**Attendance/Punctuality**Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.**Competencies** -To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:-Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.-Abides by company rules as defined in the Employee Handbook.-Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.-Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments.-Ethics - Works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values.-Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.-Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.**Qualifications** To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
