Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia seeks an Associate Vice President, Clinical Engineering to lead the enterprise Clinical Engineering organization, reporting to the Vice President - Entity Services for Data Technology and Solutions (DTS). You will coordinate with DTS and third-party partners to deliver standardized biomedical services across Penn Medicine.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or IT-related discipline.
15+ years of progressive experience in a complex healthcare provider or healthcare research environment.
15+ years of demonstrated IT/Clinical management experience.
5+ years enterprise IT experience.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the implementation, support and optimization of the UPHS Clinical Engineering resources across the Penn Medicine enterprise.
Directly manage Clinical Engineering Directors and Sr. Managers responsible for the Enterprise.
Navigate complex project delivery environments with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure DTS support aligns with entity and health system goals and objectives.
Coordinate with the Vice President - DTS Corporate Information Services for annual planning.
Develop and implement consistent policies guiding Penn Medicine CE services.
Oversee medical equipment incident investigation and reporting; ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
Oversee cybersecurity program for medical equipment including asset management and patch management.
