Job summary

Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Associate Vice President of Nursing Innovation and Digital Practice to lead nursing informatics and oversee Epic and related clinical technologies across care settings.

The role requires a BSN and an advanced degree in nursing informatics or related field, with extensive nursing/healthcare experience and strong management background. Significant leadership and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN required, MS in nursing informatics or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years nursing/healthcare experience and 5 years of management experience.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• NI-BC certification preferred at hire and required within 24 months; Epic certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing informatics initiatives from planning through implementation and optimization.
• Provide executive nursing oversight for Epic and related clinical technologies.
• Build and coordinate a system nursing informatics champion network.
• Lead change-management, education, and adoption activities for nursing technology initiatives.
• Use clinical data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Serve as a nursing liaison to CNOs, IT, quality and safety teams, and vendors.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and pilots, with ongoing monitoring.

About This Role

• Pay: $170,169 - $255,254/year
• Location: Gaithersburg, MD
• Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

What You'll Do

• Lead system nursing informatics initiatives from planning through implementation and optimization.
• Provide executive nursing oversight for Epic and related clinical technologies.
• Build and coordinate a system nursing informatics champion network.
• Lead change-management, communication, education, and adoption activities for nursing technology initiatives.
• Use user feedback and clinical data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Serve as a nursing liaison to CNOs, IT, quality and safety teams, and vendors.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and care models, leading responsible pilots and ongoing monitoring.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Master's degree in nursing, nursing informatics, health informatics, healthcare administration, or related field required

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of nursing or healthcare experience
• Minimum 5 years of management experience with responsibility for people, programs, and budgets

Licenses & Certifications

• Current, active registered nurse license in the state of practice required
• ANCC Informatics Nursing Board Certification (NI-BC) preferred at hire and required within 24 months
• Epic certification or proficiency preferred
