Job summary

RBC in New York seeks a Vice President for Asset Backed Securities Structuring to lead modeling, transaction structuring, and deal execution across asset classes. You will interact with rating agencies, validate structures with accountants, and contribute to deal marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in ABS or related fields, Series 7/63/79 licenses, and a proactive, multi-tasking mindset. Expect a dynamic Capital Markets environment with ongoing risk management and client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with history of strong academic performance.
  • Series 7, 63 & 79 licenses.
  • 4 plus years of Asset Backed Securities or related experience.
  • Familiarity with both Term and Conduit ABS products including Non-Traditional Asset Classes.
  • Previous transaction execution experience across various asset classes.
  • Self-starter that functions well in fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solution oriented approach to issues and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong programming, excel spreadsheet and some PowerPoint skills.
  • Fluency in ABS documents and related criteria.
  • Fluency in excel with VBA code, Intex and CAS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilize existing models to structure term ABS transactions across all asset classes, interact with rating agencies to obtain ratings for transactions, tie-out structures with accountants, review and provide feedback on the transaction documents, support deal marketing process by discussing and educating salesforce.
  • Provide analytical support and structural proposals for pitch books/presentations/RFPs and maintain and enhance our internal modeling tools.
  • Assist in asset valuations and trade analyses for securitization purposes as well as other business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business.
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly.

What will you do?

The expected salary for this particular position is $165,000-$225,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
