Job summary
On Point Animal Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. This role offers wellness care, sick visits, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, and client education.
The ideal candidate has a DVM, SC license, and experience in small animal practice; urgent care and surgery experience is strongly preferred. Our hospital emphasizes collaboration, modern equipment, and veterinarian growth.
Qualifications
- DVM from an accredited program.
- Active South Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
- Experience in small animal general practice.
- Urgent care, surgery, and dentistry experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform wellness exams, sick visits, and preventive care appointments.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals.
- Manage urgent care cases during regular hospital hours.
- Develop treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly with clients.
- Perform soft tissue surgeries and dentistry.
- Interpret diagnostics and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Work closely with technicians, assistants, and fellow team members.
- Support a positive, compassionate, and team-oriented hospital environment.
