Pawleys Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinarian to join our team.

Located on Pawleys Island, South Carolina, the practice is just minutes from the South Strand beaches.

As An Associate Veterinarian, You Will Enjoy

• $10,000 relocation bonus

• A weekday off and rotating Saturdays (half‑day) are possible with a typical work schedule.
• After‑hour emergencies are referred to a local emergency clinic – no after‑hours call is required.
• $2,500 allowance and time off for CE and State licensing, DEA, liability insurance and association membership dues are also provided.

Our Multi‑doctor Practice enjoys the support of a well‑trained and highly utilized technical support staff along with high‑quality diagnostic, treatment, and surgical equipment, allowing you to practice in an encouraging, supportive environment.

We provide a full array of diagnostic tools and services, including digital radiography (including digital dental radiography), ultrasound, Idexx in‑house analyzers, and paperless records.

The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for the medical and surgical care of our patients.

This includes maintaining good client relationships through effective communication regarding their pets’ health and medical needs. Medical records are maintained in an accurate manner and estimates are presented to clients in advance of care, as appropriate. The Associate Veterinarian is considered a member of the hospital’s leadership team and is therefore responsible for helping to promote the hospital’s core values and culture.

Skills And Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of South Carolina (or eligible for a temporary license pending a permanent license)
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to be empathetic and compassionate, and outstanding collaboration with other members of the Pawleys Veterinary Hospital family
