Job summary

Animal Wellness Center in Crozet, VA, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a thoughtful, collaborative team blending conventional medicine with integrative and holistic care.

We welcome clinicians with interests in acupuncture, rehabilitation, exotic medicine, senior care, pain management, or other integrative areas, and support both new graduates and experienced veterinarians.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Virginia veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain a DEA license, as applicable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to veterinary medicine.
• Commitment to high-quality medicine and excellent client service.
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a veterinary team.
• New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform comprehensive wellness and sick-patient examinations.
• Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Perform routine surgical and dental procedures based on experience and interests.
• Utilize in-house diagnostics to support timely medical decision making.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Care for canine, feline, avian, and exotic patients as appropriate.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
• Continue developing clinical skills through mentorship and continuing education.
