Animal Wellness Center in Crozet, Virginia, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a compassionate, collaborative team blending traditional and integrative care. We treat dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and other exotics, with opportunities to develop your interests in acupuncture, exotic medicine, and rehabilitation.

The practice offers a diverse caseload, mentorship, CE opportunities, and a commitment to high-quality medicine in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Virginia veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain a DEA license, as applicable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to veterinary medicine.
• Commitment to high-quality medicine and excellent client service.
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform comprehensive wellness and sick-patient examinations.
• Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Perform routine surgical and dental procedures based on experience and interests.
• Utilize in-house diagnostics to support timely medical decision-making.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Care for canine, feline, avian, and exotic patients according to comfort level and interests.
• Continue developing clinical skills through mentorship and continuing education.
