Job summary

Animal Wellness Center in Crozet, VA, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our integrative, holistic practice blending traditional medicine with complementary therapies. The role offers full-time or part-time options as we care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other exotic pets.

You’ll provide high-quality veterinary care in a diverse caseload, pursuing general practice, preventive care, surgery, and integrative medicine with mentorship and CE support.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Virginia veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain a DEA license, as applicable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to veterinary medicine.
• Commitment to high-quality medicine and excellent client service.
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a veterinary team.
• New graduates and experienced veterinarians encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform comprehensive wellness and sick-patient examinations.
• Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Perform routine surgical and dental procedures based on experience and interests.
• Utilize in-house diagnostics to support timely medical decision-making.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Care for canine, feline, avian, and exotic patients per comfort level.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
• Continue developing clinical skills through mentorship and CE.
