Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks a compassionate Associate Veterinarian for in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in the Oklahoma area. You will work independently in the field, supported by a collaborative medical leadership team and operations staff to deliver meaningful care in pets’ final moments.

You’ll participate in flexible scheduling, enjoy autonomy over your day, and join a privately owned practice focused on compassion, dignity, and respect for families and patients.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, client-centered veterinary care.
• Excellent communication with families during emotionally sensitive situations.
• Ability to work independently in the field with remote leadership support.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing clinical development and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care with Fear Free alignment.
• Support families through end-of-life decisions with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and records.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings leadership and support teams.
• Engage in ongoing training and clinical development.
