Job summary
Pet Wellness & Urgent Care Center in Marion, Illinois, part of Greater Vision Veterinary Care, is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. We provide preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, urgent care, and rehabilitation at a modern, full-service facility serving Southern Illinois communities.
You will join a friendly, experienced team dedicated to excellent medicine, client service, and staff development.
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree required.
- Active IL veterinary license or eligibility.
- DEA/BNDD eligibility is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation with clients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
- Advise owners on preventive care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
- Provide guidance on pet end-of-life care.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.
