Marion Veterinary Clinic, a full‑service veterinary facility serving small and large animals in Southern Illinois, welcomes urgent and routine cases and offers farm calls with trailer access.

We are seeking a DVM with strong communication and surgical skills. Responsibilities include exam, diagnostics, surgery, preventive care, and maintaining medical records. Competitive benefits, relocation assistance, and flexible schedules are provided.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance required for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel around end-of-life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
