Job summary

Frontier Veterinary Hospital in White Settlement, Texas is seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team. You will work with experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and collaborate with the Hospital Manager and Regional Director on patient care and operations.

The ideal candidate has a DVM or VMD, current Texas veterinary license, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older to be considered.
• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication with all hospital staff and clients?
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and provide education.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Handle pharmacy duties and controlled substances.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Coordinate weekly priorities with Hospital Manager.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds when possible to ensure high standards.
• Participate in practice management updates and trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
