Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License is required.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• Minimum 1+ years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with surgical and dental proficiency.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
• Client communication and education
• Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Prescribe medications and manage controlled substances
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
• Assist Hospital Manager with weekly priorities
• Review and update hospital protocols daily
• Attend rounds and participate in training
• Performs other duties as assigned
