Paradise Animal Hospital in Augusta, GA, is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established small animal practice with a loyal client base, modern equipment, and a dedicated support team.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited program.
• Active state veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure.
• DEA and BNDD registration eligibility.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Professional, courteous demeanor with clients and team.
• Ability to lift and carry patients or equipment up to 25 pounds independently, and over 25 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat companion animals to determine the nature of illnesses or injuries
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect and analyze laboratory samples, and interpret test results
• Develop and discuss treatment plans while educating pet owners on preventative care and medical options
• Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate
• Provide compassionate guidance and support to clients during end-of-life care decisions
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and all applicable statutes, policies, and regulatory standards
