Qualifications

• DVM from AVMA-accredited school.
• Active state veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA and BNDD registration.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat companion animals to determine illnesses or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect and analyze laboratory samples, and interpret test results.
• Develop and discuss treatment plans while educating pet owners on preventative care and medical options.
• Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Provide compassionate guidance to clients during end-of-life care decisions.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable statutes, policies, and standards.
