Annual salary ~$220-250k (Base salary + Production bonus)
This Associate Veterinarian role is for someone who is looking to join an incredibly supportive and growing clinic. They are a general practice with emergency room capabilities and are hiring 2 additional Associate Veterinarians (open to full time or part time availability). Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and develop diagnostic and treatment plans
- Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions in animals
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and instructions to animal owners.
- Perform soft tissue surgery and dental procedures (mentorship available if needed)
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
- Provide client education with clarity, empathy, and confidence
- Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and team members
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets
- Deliver high-quality care in both routine and urgent care scenarios
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
- Active New Jersey veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- 3-10 years of veterinary critical care practices
- Proven experience in veterinary emergency situations requires immediate attention.
- Strong animal handling skills, including dog handling and general pet care practices.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques.
- Proven experience with animal catheterization, laboratory procedures, and maintaining sterile environments.
- Laboratory experience related to diagnostic testing or sample analysis.
