The Center for Avian and Exotic Medicine is the only exclusive avian and exotic veterinary hospital in New York City. We believe these special pets deserve compassionate veterinarians who have dedicated their careers solely to exotic pet care.

We have a customized facility where exotic pets receive state-of-the-art medical and surgical care in a peaceful environment free from dogs and cats. Our veterinary assistants are integral to all aspects of patient care. Experience & Skills Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• State Veterinary Board License and good standing in the hiring state before start date.
• Active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure.

About the Hospital

At the Center for Avian & Exotic Medicine, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, we provide a customized facility for exotic pets to receive top-tier medical and surgical care in a calm, pet-friendly environment. Our team cares for birds, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, small ruminants, and wildlife like squirrels and pigeons. TeleVet services are available for patients seen within the last 12 months.

Located in Manhattan's Upper West Side, NYC, near Central Park and Riverside Park, with excellent public transportation, it's a great place to live and practice veterinary medicine.

Our hours are Monday – Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., serving Manhattan, Bronx, and Queens.
