Job description

Senior Specialist Recruiter & Account Manager at JAS Recruitment

We are looking for a full-time veterinarian to join our team to provide medical care for animals, diagnose and treat illnesses, consult with clients about their pets’ health, maintain patient records, and perform surgeries and related procedures as needed. The ideal candidate will have a DVM and an active license to practice in the state.

Scope:

  1. Determine the nature of disease or injury by examining pets; examining small animals.
  2. Restore health by treating animals surgically or medically.
  3. Prevent rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders by testing animals and providing inoculations.
  4. Promote animal health by advising owners on sanitation, feeding, and care.
  5. Document actions through forms, reports, logs, and records; report diseases to public health officials.
  6. Update professional knowledge via educational opportunities, reading publications, and participating in organizations.
  7. Enhance clinic reputation by taking ownership of requests and exploring value-added opportunities.

Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of Animal Behavior, Basic Safety, Documentation Skills, Customer Service, Diagnostic Procedures, Medical Technologies, Job Knowledge, Judgment, Integrity, Verbal Communication

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years veterinary experience preferred.
  2. Exotics experience is a plus but not required.
  3. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  4. Valid State Veterinary Board License in good standing.
  5. Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  6. Interest or experience in surgery and dental procedures is highly desirable.
